Sunday 21st June was the Boston Bear Challenge when a number of Teddy Bears were due to abseil off the Boston Stump. 

Some of you may have seen that our own 'Friar Bear' was due to take part in this event until disaster struck!!  Unfortunately 'Friar Bear' sustained an injury late last week whilst preparing for the event. He did manage to come along to the Coffee Morning on Friday with his cousin 'Friar Spencer Bear' who agreed to take his place at the last minute and completed the abseil for us. 

Thanks to all of you that sponsored 'Friar Bear' we raised a total of £136 which was split between Blackfriars and The Boston Stump.
